Highway 80 links Tampico to Ciudad Victoria, which lies 254 km (157 mi) northwest. Highway 70 connects the city to Ciudad Valles, in the state of San Luis Potosi, which is located 139 km (86 mi) west. Highway 180 leads to the port of Tuxpan, in the state of Veracruz, which lies 191 km (118 mi) south. Tampico has a bus terminal that offers service on lines ADO, Estrella Blanca and Omnibus. At Tampico?s international airport you can catch flights to various Mexican and U.S. cities on Mexicana, Aerolitoral, Aerocalifornia, Continental, Aeromexico and Aeromar.
